Questions asked by many R07 regulation students.

Q) When Results will be released ?
Ans : After completion of exams within 30 to 45 days results will be released mostly. We will alert u as soon as results are released.

Q) What about the Advance Supple Exams ?
Ans : Notification will be issued for the advance supple by respective JNTU regions. Advance supple exams will be conducted only for 4-2 sem subjects.

Q) Will there be any supple for project work & comphernsive viva-voice ?
Ans : Yes supple will be conducted for project & comphernsive viva-voice before starting of advance supple exams. Notification will be issued for the same.

Q) What all the certificates/memos will be issued after 4-2 results ?
Ans : After declaring the results JNTU will issue 4-2 Semester indiviual memo, CMM, PC & OD.

OD:
JNTUH : Will be sent directly to the student address as u had already paid the amount & applied for OD during exam registrations of April/May/June 2012.
JNTUK : U can apply for OD after notification is issued. (Which will be issued next year).
JNTUA : U can apply after notification is issued. (Which will be issued after declaring 4-2 results-Mostly in Sept/Nov 2012).

Q) Do i need to apply for CMM,PC ?
Ans : 
JNTUH : No need to apply if u had cleared all the subjects from 1 to 4 years. But if you are leaving any 1 or 2 subjects then u need to submit undertaking form so that JNTUH can issue the CMM,PC. Leaving of 2 subjects rule is discussed in coming question.

JNTUK & JNTUA : U need to apply in the prescribed format given respective by JNTU Region. if u leave 1 or 2 subjects then u need to submit undertaking form to get CMM,PC.

JNTUH : Tatkal process is not available.

Q) How Many days it may take to issue CMM,PC ?
Ans :
JNTUH : 1 to 2 weeks if u secure 224 credits. 1 Month (Max) if u secure 216/220 credits.
JNTUK : Within 1 to 2 working days in Tatkal Process.
JNTUA : Within 1 to 2 working days in Tatkal Process.

Q) What is the requirement to get the degree For R07 B.Tech Students ?
Ans:
As per B.Tech (R07) regulations, one of the academic requirement to award degree is that the student should secure 216 credits (out of 224 credits registered) with the compulsory subjects as listed below:
1. All the first year subjects
2. All the practical subjects
3. Industry oriented mini-project
4. Seminar
5. Project works.

The above statement says that u can leave any 2 theory subjects from 2,3,4 Years (I & II Sem) which carries 4 credits each. At most u can leave only 8 credits. Q) Whats the Process to leave 2 subjects & get the degree ?
Ans :
JNTUH : After official notification is released u need to fill the undertaking form & submit the same in ur respective college.College principal will verify it & will forward it to JNTU then u may get the CMM,PC within 1 month.

JNTUK : After official notification is released u need to fill the undertaking form & submit the same in ur respective college or else directly in JNTUK to get the CMM,PC within 1 to 2 working days.JNTUA : After official notification is released u need to fill the undertaking form & submit the same in ur respective college or else directly in JNTUA to get the CMM,PC within 1 to 2 working days.

Ans : Last time for 2011 pass outs (R07 students) JNTU had given the exception of 1st year subjects as per many requests from parents & students. This rule might be extended to this year even.so, this rule will be applicable only if JNTU releases the official notification.Q) Can B.Tech R07 Lateral Entry Students leave 2 subjects under the exception of 2 subjects ?Ans : Yes they can.

How to get started with the Amazon Cloud Drive app

Another week, another cloud storage application. Following last week's introduction of Google Drive, Amazon earlier this week released a desktop application for its Cloud Drive service. It differs somewhat from the Google Drive application, and Dropbox's desktop app for that matter, but fundamentally, it's very similar to these two other services.

To get you started with the Amazon Cloud Drive application, here is a step-by-step guide:

Step 1: Download the app (PC | Mac) and install it.

On PCs, it places a small cloud icon in the system tray in the lower-right corner. On Macs, the cloud icon appears in the menu bar at the top of your display.

Step 2: Log in to your Amazon account.

After installing the app, a log-in window appears; you need an Amazon account to use Cloud Drive. After logging in for the first time and clicking through or skipping the quick tour, you can click the link in Step 4 of the tour or click on the cloud icon in your system tray or menu bar to open Amazon Cloud Drive.

Step 3: Let the uploading begin.Unlike the desktop apps for Dropbox or Google Drive, you access Cloud Drive via your browser instead of a desktop folder. It takes a second or two longer to load the Cloud Drive page than either the Dropbox or the Google Drive folder but it's similar in operation.

There are three ways to upload files (two of which use the desktop app):

You can simply drag a file, a folder, or multiple files or folders to the cloud icon to upload them to your Amazon Cloud Drive.

You can also right-click on a file or folder to upload it. On Macs, choose the "Upload to Cloud Drive" menu option. On PCs, choose Send to > Amazon Cloud Drive. I found that with my Mac, I needed to restart my system before this menu option appeared.

With both of the above methods, files and folders are added to the Uploads folder, which gets created the first time you upload files via either method. Otherwise, Amazon starts you off with four default folders: Documents, Music, Pictures, and Videos. Also, with both of the above methods, you can pause or cancel an upload; both actions are accessible via the cloud icon in your system tray or menu bar.

The third method of uploading lets you upload files or folders to a specific folder on Cloud Drive. Click on the cloud icon and choose Open Cloud Drive Website. From your Cloud Drive page on Amazon's site, you can select a destination folder before starting your upload.

Step 4: Downloading and managing files.

The desktop app does not provide a path to download files, and you cannot simply drag a file from the Cloud Drive page to your desktop to download it. Instead, you must check the box next to it and click the Download button at the top of your Cloud Drive page. To select a destination folder for your downloads, click on the cloud icon in your system tray or menu bar and select Options (or Preferences on a Mac) > Change Download Folder.

To move files from one Cloud Drive folder to another (say, from the Uploads folder to a more specific folder), open a folder, click the check boxes for the files you want to move, click the More Actions button at the top of the page, select "Move X item(s) to...," select a folder, and click Move X item(s).
