Samsung has finally unveiled the next flagship phone, Samsung Galaxy S3. Like any other Samsung product launch, S3 attracted its own share of leaks but it turns out that Samsung has managed to surprise and impress almost everyone. The Internet is already abuzz with information overload about Galaxy S3 and we thought of handpicking the info-bits about the new Samsung Galaxy S3 that are new and matter the most. So here’s your two minute quick overview of Samsung Galaxy S3 -
Samsung announced that this phone has been ‘designed for humans’ and that means it knows when you’re using it. The ‘Smart Stay‘ feature makes use of the front facing camera and detects user movements and keeps the screen from going off. We hope this feature doesn’t drain S3′s 2100 mAh battery. The ‘S Voice‘ feature is Sammy’s rival of iPhone’s Siri. There’s a ‘Smart Alert” feature that senses when you’ve picked up your phone and then alerts you about the notifications through vibrations. From what we’ve gathered so far, the Smart Alert feature can automatically choose the most important notifications automatically. ‘S Beam‘, as our smart readers would guess is built upon Android Beam feature for sharing files. But Sammy’s taken it a step ahead by integrating it with NFC & WiFi Direct for larger file transfers. You could simply touch your phone to another phone and share large HD videos quickly.
Another most important feature you should be aware of is the ‘Direct Call‘ feature. If you are reading a text message from your friend and want to talk to her, then simply lift the phone to your ear and the S3 will quickly know that it should make a call. The Direct Call feature is incredibly useful, we must say.
We’re impressed, Samsung!
Specifications of SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 :
Samsung Galaxy S3 release is set for tomorrow. Galaxy S3 is coming with 4.8 inch Super AMOLED Plus display and quad-core Exynos processor
Merely a day is left when Samsung will introduce its forthcoming smartphone Galaxy S3. There is high level of anticipation for the impending launch of the smartphone that is expected to be a trendsetter in the market.
There is unprecedented excitement for the next version of Galaxy S phone. Galaxy S2 was the highest selling android phone and galaxy S3 is certain to break all the records that any other Android smartphone made. Reports suggest that in the first month of its launch itself, Galaxy S3 may cross 5 million unit sales mark.
Given the fact that Galaxy S2 was the best smartphone available in the market so far and most technology sites gave it better marks than its main market competitor Apple iPhone 4S, S3, is going to be infinitely better than anything we may have right now. Engadget.com while heaping praise on Galaxy S2 said, “For a handset with such a broad range of standout features and specs, the Galaxy S II is remarkably easy to summarize. It’s the best Android smartphone yet, but more importantly, it might well be the best smartphone, period.” But Galaxy S2 is going to be history with the launch of Galaxy S3 with much more improved specs and features.
Galaxy S2 came with 4.3 inch screen. Galaxy S3 display is going to be a lot bigger and better than its predecessor. The new Galaxy S phone will come with Super AMOLED Plus 4.8-inch screen. If this is true, then we are going to get the best screen of all the smartphones available in the market. But there are some other rumors floating around suggesting Samsung may launch Galaxy S3 with a 4.6 inch screen. But 4.8 inch Super AMOLED Plus display looks more reliable.
Galaxy S3 will be powered by way more powerful processor than the one that came fitted in Galaxy S2. The existing Galaxy S2 is powered by 1.2 GHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 SoC processor that was the best when it was introduced in the market. But now, Galaxy S3 will come with a much more improved and powerful processor than its predecessor. The forthcoming Galaxy S version will come loaded with Samsung’s own quad-core Exynos processor. The new processor will clock 1.4GHz. Galaxy S2 came with 1 GB RAM, the forthcoming version will be coming with 2 GB of RAM.
Samsung’s improvement seems to be in every aspect of smartphone and camera couldn’t have been an exception. The forthcoming Galaxy S3 smart phone is going to increase the bar to an all new level when it comes to camera in smartphones. Different sources suggest that Samsung will come with either a 12-megapixel or 16-megapixel rear camera on Galaxy S3. The current version of Galaxy S has an 8-megapixel rear camera. There may be some Nokia phone with 40 mega pixel camera. But be assured that Galaxy S3 camera is going to be far better and smoother than anything that Nokia can deliver.
